- 1). Lean underneath the drill press table. Using the screwgun, remove one screw from each corner. The screws are penetrating the cast iron framework that supports the table and they have large washers on them. Set them aside.
- 2). Grab the old MDF table top with both hands and pull it loose. If it is stuck, jiggle it sideways until it comes off.
- 3). Measure the table top with a tape measure. Turn on your table saw and cut the new piece of MDF to the same measurement.
- 4). Position the new top on the metal framework where the old top came off. Place a hand clamp on both sides and clamp the new top to the frame work.
- 5). Lean under the top. Using the screwgun, screws and washers that came from the old top, screw the new top to the metal framework through the same holes that the screws came out of.
