How to Reset an IP Address for Time Warner Internet

1). Disconnect the power from the Time Warner Internet connection.
2). Connect a different Ethernet device to the Time Warner Internet connection.
3). Power on the Time Warner Internet connection and wait approximately 90 seconds for the device to synchronize. At this point, the cable modem is using a different IP address.
4). Repeat the previous steps with the exception of connecting the original device, such as a computer or router, back into the Time Warner Internet connection. Because the IP address was reset when the previous steps were performed, it is is reset again to a completely new IP address when the original device is reconnected.
