- 1). Whisk water, sugar and cocoa into the saucepan on medium heat and bring to a boil for three minutes, stirring frequently.
- 2). Take the pan off of the heat and stir in vanilla and salt.
- 3). Let cool, then pour into a clean bottle. Glass bottles can only be used for refrigerated sauce; plastic can be used for refrigeration or freezing.
- 4). Label jars and store in refrigerator for up to three months and in the freezer for six months.
