The Bottom Line
Powell pro series wheels are the price point wheels for Powell Pro - meaning that they are the best quality for the cheapest price. They all come with simple clean pro graphics of a skull, with a slash of color. There's nothing new or high tech about these wheels, but for pro wheels, they're a good deal.

Guide Review - Wheels - Powell Pro Series
These are the cheapest wheels you can get from Powell. They're made well, with a durometer of 101, 4 sizes, and come with pro names and graphics. Each one has a skull of an animal, with their own colors. The wheels look good - not too busy, with clean lines and solid colors. They ride well too, no problems at all. Some come treaded, and some not. It's up to you.
The drawback to these wheels is that you do spend more for the pro names, even if you don't spend MUCH more. It always seemed to me that you spend too much extra on the name slapped on the side of your wheels, and way too often that name just gets scratched off! I either go for cheaper price point wheels (like Bones One Hundreds), or toss out the extra bucks for something special.
Pro wheels seem like the worst of both worlds - you spend a little more, for nothing more than the pro names and graphics.
However, that said, I know that there's a lot of people who really like pro graphics. In fact, when it comes to decks, for some reason I kinda like pro graphics. Matters of taste never make sense - that's what having your own brain is all about. If you like pro graphics, these wheels are a good deal, and they do look good. They look clean should match any board pretty well.
Bottom line, if you want regular wheels that look better than regular, Powell Pro Graphics are a good buy.
