- 1). One of the earliest signs of pregnancy that can be detected is implantation pain. This can occur as pain or cramping that accompanies the implantation of a fertilized embryo into the uterus. Implantation pain can occur anywhere from a few days to almost two weeks after ovulation.
- 2). Some women also report a metallic taste in their mouths in the early days of pregnancy. This is one of the signs of pregnancy not recognized by many doctors, so it is not known exactly what causes this. However, there is too much anecdotal evidence to ignore its link to pregnancy in many women.
- 3). A yeast infection is one of the most bothersome of all the signs of pregnancy. The hormonal changes that come with pregnancy can trigger a yeast infection and also make them hard to treat.
- 4). Rapidly changing hormones can also cause changes in hair growth including fine hair growth on your belly or facial hair growth. Some women have also reported that their leg hair stops growing during pregnancy.
- 5). Spider veins are another one of the more unfortunate signs of pregnancy. They are caused by the increased blood flow that occurs when you become pregnant.
- 6). Higher amounts of estrogen and increased blood flow can cause nasal congestion or even nose bleeds during pregnancy. This can last throughout your pregnancy and even for weeks after you give birth.
- 7). Finally, creamy cervical mucus or discharge is one of the signs of pregnancy that often get overlooked. After ovulation many women experience little to no cervical discharge unless a fertilized embryo has implanted in the uterus. It is then that you may experience creamy cervical mucus and soon discover that you are pregnant!
