  Every little girl dreams of being a princess or enjoys pretending she is one during fantasy and imaginative playtime. Turn a little girl's dreams into reality and make your own little princess a special room decorated in a royal theme that highlights her favorite Disney characters. It will make her feel like her room is her personal royal domain.
  
  

Wall Décor

• Start by painting the room an appropriate princess color. Try pink, yellow, lavender or blue. If you are only using one specific princess for inspiration, use the colors in her most famous royal outfit to set the color scheme for the room. Be sure to include your own princess when creating the design ideas.
  
  Paint a mural on one wall with a scene from the chosen Disney movie using acrylic craft paints available in small bottles at the craft store. Draw the design on paper first before starting on the wall. Use a soft pencil to draw an outline on the wall or freestyle it if you are skilled in painting. If you need inspiration, look for pictures of the Disney princesses online or watch the movies again. Try a castle, an outdoor scene, a banquet scene, a throne room or a favorite scene from the movie. It does not have to be a perfect recreation, just an interpretation.
  
  Wall figures of each princess are another option. Glue figures to a cardboard or wood backing cut to the shape of the figure. Add the figures to a scenic hand-painted background if you are not good with painted figures but can paint the scenery. Princess figures are also available as wall stick-ons.
  
  Hang posters or framed pictures of each princess. If the pictures are small, use ornate frames in gold to highlight the picture, making it look like a formal portrait. Make one of your own little princess. Find a costume of one of the princesses and photograph her in it, then add it to the royal gallery on the wall. Make or use a dress-up crown and photograph her wearing it.
  
  Hang a Disney princess costume or piece of the costume on the wall as an accent piece.
  
  Don't forget to add an ornate mirror so your princess can view herself.
  
  

Bedding

• Comforters, sheets and pillows are available in Disney princess themes. If you are unable to find the ones you want, choose solid colored bedding that matches your color theme.
  
  Accent the bedding with princess dolls and throw pillows that match the chosen Disney princess theme.
  
  To make the bedding lush and full use layers of sham covered bed pillows and throw pillows. Lace and ruffles on the pillows will add texture to the bedding.
  
  Hang white or colored mosquito netting above the bed and drape it open at the head of the bed to create a canopy.
  
  

Knickknacks and Collections

• Disney princess figurines, dolls and characters set on the dressers or shelves will accent the princess theme. Add to the collection over time.
  
  Add an ornate jewelry box on the dresser and make or buy a play crown to set on the dresser near the jewelry box.
  
  Create a royal scepter using painted wood doweling with attached ribbons, beads, craft jewels or glittery sequins. Set it on top of the bedding or next to the crown.
  
  Use a bouquet of silk flowers in matching colors. Place them in a glass vase or basket.
