How to Control Your Emotions and Overcome Negative Thoughts

Do you know how to overcome negative thoughts? Can you control your emotions? If we talk about controlling our emotions, then we have to talk about beliefs.
One of the most important things you have to be aware of is your beliefs and the way you talk to yourself.
The ideas and thoughts that are in your head are the powerful forces that make you have the emotions you are having right now.
Studies show that the majority of people's daily thoughts are negative and 7% of those negative thoughts cause stress and heart problems.
You might ask if the majority of our thoughts are negative, then how come some people have quiet, happy, and successful life? These kinds of people have learned the secrets to controlling their emotions by controlling their thoughts.
Some do it consciously and some do it unconsciously.
Most of their beliefs are positive and they concentrate on the good and positive aspects in their lives.
Studies show that 90% of our beliefs are formed by the age 7.
This programming is acquired mainly from our parents, and then friends and the media.
If a child is programmed to thinking and saying to himself "I'm stupid" or "I'm ugly," he will grow believing that he is stupid or ugly and this belief could lead him to commit suicide in the long run if he gets to the point that he can't deal with it anymore.

Watch what you say to yourself.

Watch what you say to your friends and family.

Watch what people say to you.
If you control your thoughts, what you say to yourself, and what people say to you, then you will be able to control your emotions.
Realize that you can't have an emotion without first having a thought.
At first it might be hard, but with constant practice, you will be able to control your emotions and overcome negative thoughts.
Always remember what Robert Kiyosaki said, "If you want to change your life, begin by changing your words.
Start speaking the words of your dreams, of who you want to become, not the words of fear and failure.
