Out on His Ear
Dr. Obrecht's budgetary cuts, if that's what are, hit the hospital at different levels. Silas requests Danny's labs be put on a rush, and he's informed that there are no more rush tests as per Dr. O. Silas wants them anyway.
Unfortunately for Silas, when he enters Obrecht's office to complain, he finds Madeline. After the usual snipes, he informs her that with her name on Nina's revenge list, they should find her immediately.
Obrecht is in Jason's room throwing him out of the hospital. Elizabeth gives her an argument. Obrecht is offended by Elizabeth spending time drawing Jason and making fun of her. The nurse feels it is the role of the hospital to heal patients, not toss them out before they're ready and have no place to go. She leaves his bill, which he can't possibly pay. Elizabeth invites him to stay at her home once he's released -- which seems to be at any moment.
Anna Questions Duke
In her office, Anna looks at A.J.'s murder case file. She looks unhappy as she recalls Sonny's alibi, courtesy of Duke. When he shows up, he makes small talk about Emma. She's all business. She asks him about the alibi and wonders if he could be mistaken. No, he says. He suggests that she has been working too hard. As Duke is leaving, Anna cautions him that if any evidence comes up to the contrary, it won't go well for him.
A Shooting
At the Corinthos home, Morgan tells Sonny that Ava is at the brownstone. Meanwhile, Sonny has received a text that Franco is dead.
Uh, he's far from dead. Morgan explains that Ava has been having difficulty with her pregnancy and Silas has been called in. He mentions a car parked outside the brownstone, which he thought was his father's, but Sonny says it wasn't his vehicle.
Morgan admits that he cares about Ava, but after what he's heard, she's not the person he believed her to be. Sonny calls for Max. They hear a gunshot, and both men duck. When Sonny opens the door, gun drawn, Max is on the floor, wounded.
She's Having My Baby
At the brownstone, Ava desperately tries to convince Nina to let go of the idea of taking her baby. Nina tends to go off on her own issues, so she talks about drugs that Madeline used to take her baby. Ava's paralysis is beginning to wear off, which is good, Nina says, because she can't deliver paralyzed. She injects her with oxytocin and searches for towels and twine. Ava attempts to move and ease herself across the floor. Nina finds her. Ava goes into labor. Nina is thrilled.
Wedding Announcements
At the Haunted Star, everyone is reeling from Franco's announcement that he won't marry Carly, referring to her as a "lying, cheating..."you get the idea. He announces that Carly has been sleeping with her "ex-husband." Josslyn thinks it's her father, but Franco corrects her. No, it's Michael's father. Franco points out that Bobbie lied to Scott when she said she had pizza with Carly one night, when in fact, her daughter was "full of Sonny's pepperoni."
"Let's go to the videotape," he announces, as Lucas herds the children out of the room. Sonny is on tape, bare-chested, and Carly indicates on tape that she has been cheating on Franco. Franco stops the tape. When Carly realizes that she's been wearing a wire, she becomes furious, and rips off her necklace. Michael yells that Sonny is the better man.
With that, it's time to continue the recording. Carly begs him to stop. In the next portion of the tape, Sonny talks about having sex with Ava in the Quartermaine crypt. "You'd think killing A.J. would be bad enough," Franco remarks. Carly orders Michael to leave. No good. Franco continues the tape. Sonny states that he shot A.J. Michael turns purple.
