- 1). Plug in both your VCRs to a power source. Attach RCA cables to the "output" jacks in the back of VCR number 1. Attach the other end of the RCA cables to the "input" jacks in the back of VCR number 2. Make sure the wire colors match the jack colors when attaching them: yellow to yellow, white to white and red to red. If your VCR does not have RCA jacks, attach a coaxial cable to the threaded "output" jack in the rear of VCR number 1, and attach the other end to the threaded "input" jack in the rear of VCR number 2.
- 2). Turn on the power for both VCRs. Insert the tape you wish to copy into VCR number 1. Insert a blank VHS tape into VCR number 2. Rewind both tapes completely so they cue and start at the same rate. If you are copying an extended length tape, make sure your play and record speeds match by checking the VCR speed dial located within the control panel on most models.
- 3). Press "Record" on VCR number 2, then press "Play" on VCR number 1 to avoid missing the first images displayed. Let the tapes run through to completion. Eject the tapes. Repeat the copying process as many times as you wish to make multiple copies.
