- 1). Cut some coils off of the factory suspension springs to give your F-350 a lower ride height. Be sure that the springs are cut equally at all four corners to ensure an even ride height. By cutting the factory springs, you're reducing the truck's die height while using the factory struts and shocks. You can cut coils off of the springs using a hack saw. It is best to start off cutting off small lengths rather than ambitiously take off several inches of coils at once.
- 2). Install an aftermarket lowering kit designed for the F-350. These lowering kits combine aftermarket springs along with replacement suspension beams that not only lower the truck's suspension, but also lower its subframe. These types of lowering kits will reduce the ride height the most out of any of these three modification methods. It will give the truck a smoother ride and also improve its handling in the corners as it will have a lower center of gravity.
- 3). Replace the factory springs in your suspension with aftermarket springs that fit the factory shocks and struts of your F-350. Installing shorter OEM replacement springs will not require you to modify your existing suspension components. Aftermarket lowering springs can be found for sale at most auto parts retailers.
