- If you have too many applications running on your LG Quantum, the camera may not launch or take pictures. The camera uses your phone's memory to function. Each application that is open and running takes up valuable memory that you need to take pictures. Close any applications that you are not using before taking a picture. Open the application that is currently running and press “Back.” Touch “OK” to confirm that you want to exit the application.
- A soft reset of the Quantum may resolve an issue with the camera. When you reset the phone, it does not alter the settings. Turn off your phone prior to a soft reset. Lift the battery cover off of the phone and remove the battery. Replace the battery after one minute and close the cover over the back of the phone. Press the “Power” button to turn on the phone. Allow the phone to fully-load before attempting to take another picture.
- When the camera application on your LG Quantum fails to launch or it will not take pictures, you can perform an update to potentially install a fix for the issue. Updates for the phone are installed using the Zune application that you use to sync your phone. Launch Zune and connect your phone to the computer with a USB cable. Click “Update Now” and wait for the new updates to be installed on your phone. Restart the phone when the update completes and launch the camera application.
- In rare instances, a factory reset of the phone may be required to resolve an issue with the Quantum's camera application. A factory reset erases all the data on the phone and returns it to its out-of-the-box condition. Before resetting the phone, backup any data you want to retain. Slide the “Applications” list from the right on the home screen and touch “Settings.” Touch “About,” and then touch “Reset Your Phone.” When the reset completes, the phone will restart.
