- 1). Insert the bent molding pins by fixing them with a credit card. Simply insert the card in between the bent pin and a straight pin, then gently push it against the bent pin. These pins bend easily (hence the problem), so it should not take much pressure to unbend the pin. Then you can insert the charger. When you do so, though, do so very carefully the first time. If you didn't completely fix it yet, you may bend it back by forcing it.
- 2). Insert the bent molding pins by fixing them with a mechanical pencil. First take out the pencil lead, or break it off so none is sticking out. Then, gently insert it between the pins like you did with the credit card. Because a mechanical pencil is wider and somewhat heftier than a credit card, this should move slightly larger pins.
- 3). Insert the bent molding pins by fixing them with a pair of needle-nose pliers. The trick here is to not actually move the pliers. Molding pins are fragile, and trying to bend them with a heavy-duty tool like this could snap them off. Instead, insert the pliers straight into the socket, then slowly close them around the pin. The pressure should push the pin back up until the pliers are closed around it.
