- 1). Push the safety mechanism---a button located just behind the trigger---so the red marking can not be seen.
- 2). Unscrew the magazine cap from the end of the magazine. Usually this can be done by hand; however, if you cannot loosen the cap, use a screwdriver to loosen it.
- 3). Grasp the barrel just in front of the magazine and pull it out of the receiver. Set the barrel aside.
- 4). Grasp the new barrel just in front of the guide ring and insert the barrel into the receiver as the magazine passes through the guide ring.
- 5). Screw the magazine cap onto the magazine.
