- 1). Download and save the latest AVG Anti-virus file. If you aren't downloading the free version of AVG, you can instead download a trial version for free. It is easiest to save the file to your desktop.
- 2). Reboot your computer after the installation file is saved to your computer.
- 3). Locate the AVG installation file on your desktop and double-click on it.
- 4). Choose the "Uninstall" option once the program launches.
- 5). Follow the uninstall prompts to remove the AVG Anti-virus file from your computer.
