It helps you clarify your purpose in your daily activities.

You say, "I just don't know where to start!" Here are some ideas to get you headed in the right direction:
1) Determine what it is you really want and why.
You may be tempted just to write the what and not the why.
"Why" clues you into your true motives.
Your motives need to be congruent with YOUR values (not the values you think you should have or the values of someone else in your life, but yours!)
2) Write your goals down.
There is a distinct benefit from the act of writing out your goals.
The more you write them, the more ingrained they become into your subconscious.
Then your brain is working to make things happen, even when you aren't consciously thinking about it!
3) Get an accountability partner to keep you on track! Accountability partners can come in different forms.
Find the one that is best for you.
Knowing you have to "report" in on your progress can make all the difference in the world!
4) Review your progress on a regular basis.Goal setting will help you to live your life intentionally.
It's important to make sure you are on track with your original plan.
If not, determine why and adjust.
Adjusting is okay! Doesn't mean you have failed, just means you've made an adjustment!
It will give purpose to your daily activities so you can make the most of the 24 hours a day you have been blessed with.
