- 1). Wash the fresh apples under cool running water and dry them off with paper towels.
- 2). Remove the core of the apples with a paring knife by inserting it along the side of the core. Cut around the entire core and pull the core from the center of the apple. If you have difficulty removing the core, pry on it with the paring knife.
- 3). Scrape out any remaining seeds inside the apple. Discard the core and seeds.
- 4). Slice the apple in half lengthwise from the blossom end to the root. Slice the apples into quarters, and slice the quarters into two to three sections approximately 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick.
- 5). Serve the apple slices with a caramel or homemade dip. Make a simple apple dip by mixing 8 ounces of cream cheese, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract together.
