- 1). Fill a tall, clear glass vase 1/3-full of glass marbles. Insert three to five long-stemmed glass flowers into the marbles. Fill in around each stem with more marbles to hold them in place. Stand the colorful glass display in the middle of a mirror tile to create a table decoration or a centerpiece.
- 2). Arrange three differently sized pillar candles on one side of a cake plate. Place greenery, such as magnolia leaves, balsam fir tips or holly, beside the candles on the cake plate. Place five to seven pieces of sugared fruit around the sides of the candles and on top of the greenery.
- 3). Cut crystal headpins to 1-inch lengths with wire cutters. Push the headpins into the sides of several small, medium and large pillar candles. Dot the circumference of the candle with the headpins. Arrange the candles on each tier of a three-tiered serving platter. Drape crystal strands from the top to the bottom of the platter. Crystal strands are available in 3-foot lengths from chandelier and wedding supply stores. Hot glue will hold the ends of the crystal strands in place.
- 4). Select a clear glass bowl to fit in the center of a cake stand. Fill the bowl with glass Christmas ornaments. Place the bowl in the center of the cake stand. Arrange sprigs of silk or fresh holly on the cake stand and around the bowl. Adapt the table decoration to fit other holidays by changing the contents of the bowl and the greenery. For example, for an Easter or spring celebration, fill the bowl with decorated eggs and surround it with silk spring flowers.
