I felt as if I swallowed my pride when I headed to the Internet to purchase some ready-made designs. But upon completion of my first project, it was so much better than anything else I've done before I realised just how valuable professionals drawings and instructions can be. There are lots of different websites and blogs on the Internet where you can download hen house plans and instructions to build chicken coop's in your backyard.
Let me tell you, I had a cat that used to scratch up everything. He scratched the sofa, the curtains and even the woodwork! His scratching was so bad, I didn't know if I was going to be able to keep him. It was totally embarrassing when company came over.
If you want to know how to build a chicken coop then simply head online.
The best thing that I highly recommend about using professionally designed plans is the amount of time and money you'll save. If you take your time and prepare well you probably won't make any mistakes and your finished result will be sturdy, weatherproof and it will protect your livestock from any animals roaming around looking for a free lunch!
The allergic reaction to cat dander is triggered by a glycoprotein Fel D 1 which is secreted by a cat's sebaceous glands, saliva and is present in little amounts in its urine. This Fel D 1 is also present on the microscopic bits of skin that is attached at the end of cat fur. To prevent allergies, you have to make sure that your house is free of cat fur, saliva and cat urine.
- Grooming your pet cat. Learning how to take care of cats involve grooming as one of your responsibilities. You can train your cat to love water, and bathe them regularly. You have to also make sure that your pet is free from fleas and other parasites to make them happy and healthy as well as make your home free from such parasites as well.
Now let me tell you it wasn't easy for me to start this project, far from it. In fact I was scared to death to do it because I'm not what you'd call the handy type. I'd never built anything like this before but I literally didn't have the money to buy any cat furniture. Have you seen the prices they want for that stuff? It's insane!
So I broke down and after much research bought a set of cat furniture designs. Boy am I glad I did. I was really worried that the materials I'd need would be hard to find or really expensive. But the designs I got held my hand from start to finish. They gave me tons of tips on where to get materials really cheap and in some cases for free. Being able to print out the materials list to take shopping with me was great. I got everything I needed in one trip and didn't forget anything.
Another natural behavior for cats is climbing. Outdoors they will climb onto fences, up trees, even onto the roof. Indoors they will climb to the top of your bookshelf, armoire or drapes. Give them a climbing alternative in the form of a cat tree or kitty condo. A kitty condo is simply a tree with a hiding place included. Once Muffin makes it her own, she'll be less likely to climb the drapes.
Tackling a job like this was really frightening for me. I was concerned that a novice like me wouldn't be able to do this project. Or at least that I wouldn't end up with something I'd be proud to display in my home. Much to my surprise, the instructions were surprisingly simple to follow! All the pictures made it easy to see what to do and to be sure I did it the way I was supposed to.
Obviously the more skilled at woodworking them the more confident you will be, but even as a novice like myself you should be able to complete this project as long as you have some good quality plans and blueprints. When it came to woodwork and DIY projects are often used to attempt to make my own plans and architectural drawings, but I usually made lots of errors this way. Yes, the job finally got done but not after multiple trips to the hardware store, lots of Ron cuts here and there and loads of time and money wasted.
Every cat needs a cat tree or kitty condo. Cat owners know the value of keeping their pets happy, occupied and away from the furniture and drapes. Many exasperated cat owners will protect their furnishings by taking the drastic measure of declawing their cat. Don't even think about it! It's cruel and there are humane alternatives.
