- 1). Hold a metal coat hanger in your left hand. Separate the two "legs" of the metal coat hanger that are wrapped around each other at the top using the pliers.
- 2). Repeat this procedure with the other metal coat hanger.
- 3). Bend a metal coat hanger at its middle using your fingers. Bend the other metal coat hanger at its middle the same way.
- 4). Stand up one metal coat hanger on its two legs on a table. Hold the metal coat hanger in place with your left hand.
- 5). Stand up the other metal coat hanger on its two legs on the table with your right hand.
- 6). Place the top loop of the metal coat hanger being held in the right hand against the top loop of the metal coat hanger being held in the left hand. Hold both of the loops with the left hand.
- 7). Wrap duct tape around the ends of the two top loops to secure them together. Release the two metal coat hangers to verify that they are now standing on the table on their own.
- 8). Place the handle on one side of the pellet gun against one side of the looped ends of the metal coat hangers. Wrap duct tape around the handle of the pellet gun to secure it to the looped ends of the metal coat hangers.
- 9). Take the pellet gun now attached to the tripod you have made into your backyard. Squat down on the ground. Place the tripod down on the ground.

Place your finger on the trigger of the pellet gun. Aim at a safe target like a tree or a rock that is free of any obstructions that could be damaged from the projectile fired by the pellet gun. Depress the trigger to fire the pellet gun you now have on a tripod.
