Eject a Disc From a PS3
Turn off the power switch on your console and press and hold down the "Eject" button. Turn the power switch back on and wait for the console to power up. If the disc starts to eject, release the button. If the disc is still stuck, turn the power switch off and on again. When you hear your PS3's fans start to operate, press the "Eject" button a few times. According to PlayStation, this may force the disc to come out.
Eject a Disc From a PS3 Slim
Turn off your PS3 and disconnect the power cable. Turn the console upside down and remove the small rectangular screw cover on the back. You should see two screws, one blue and one that may have a paper disc on it. Don't do anything to the blue screw. Put a Phillips head screwdriver on the other screw, pushing through the paper if it is there. When you turn the screw, the disc should start to eject slowly. Once you've removed the disc, put the cover back in place.
Contact PlayStation
Don't be tempted to open your PS3's cover to try to eject a disc from the inside. This voids your warranty and PlayStation may refuse to repair the console. If manual fixes don't remove a stuck disc, or if your discs jam repeatedly, contact PlayStation. It may be able to help you fix the problem or will give you information on your service options.
