- 1). Pinch off the ends of the pod, pulling the strings along the seams of the pod away. These strings are tough and fibrous and should be removed whether you are planning on freezing the peas or eating them immediately.
- 2). Pour 4 quarts of water into a pot and place the pot on the stove.
- 3). Heat the water until it is boiling.
- 4). Add between 2 to 3 cups of sugar snap peas to the water, covering them with a lid.
- 5). Wait two minutes and remove the peas from the heat.
- 6). Drain off the hot water.
- 7). Place the peas in a bowl.
- 8). Fill the bowl with cold water.

Put the peas in a freezer bag and place in the freezer.
