How To Jump On a Trampoline - Gravity Is Your Friend

Did you know that you don't have to go to a gym or park just to get some cardio vascular exercise? Many people spend hours running or walking on a treadmill, just like a hamster, exercising their body while their mind goes blank.
Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to exercise your body and entertain your mind all at the same time? Well, it might seem silly, but thousands of people have discovered that jumping on a trampoline can provide a full body workout while also giving you hours of fun! If you're going to learn how to get the most out of your jump, you have to learn how to use the trampoline springs properly.
The great thing about a trampoline is that it has little to no impact on your knees and back, as long as you used is in a manner that is appropriate to your age and weight.
Remember that while gravity is your friend, it is your weight that determines how much force your friend will put behind your jumps.
If you're jumping on a trampoline for the first time, or simply jumping on a new trampoline that you're not used to for the first time, you should be cautious with your jumps until you know how the trampoline springs are going to react.
The first thing to do when you're ready to learn how to jump on a trampoline is to simple get on it.
Some trampolines come equipped with extra trampoline parts, like a ladder or enclosure, which might change the way that you get onto the structure.
Once you've gotten up, walk slowly and carefully to the center.
Tell all your advice-giving friends to stay on the ground while you're bouncing, because too many bodies can be dangerous.
Once you're in the center, practice walking in place without really picking your feet too far off the trampoline mat.
You'll feel how the springiness pushes back against your feet, and starts to bounce you ever so slightly.
When you've got your balance, start by bending your knees and quickly straightening your legs, which will increase the amount of push you feel beneath your feet.
When you're ready, increase the force of your leg flex, and feel how the trampoline gently pushed you up into a jump! As you increase in confidence, increase the force with which you push off, and you'll be jumping high in no time.
