- 1). Visit Yahoo Games. See References. Select from the list of games "Pool." This takes you to a page where you can join a room. Choose a room and wait for the game room to open. Find a game table that is waiting for a player. Click that table to join and start playing.
- 2). Aim your pool cue to hit the cue ball and make a shot. The left side of your mouse controls positioning of the pool cue. If the cue ball is close enough to your pool ball, you will see an arrow so that you line up your shot. If the cue ball is far away from your intended pool ball, you will use your eyesight to line up the shot.
- 3). Set up the pool cue with the cue ball and hold down the right side of the mouse to pull back the pool cue while moving the mouse backward away from the cue ball to get the distance with the pool cue. When you remove your finger from holding down the right side of the mouse, the pool cue is released and hits the cue ball. Be careful to hold down the right side of the mouse until you are ready.
- 4). Get some English on the ball by using the upper right hand corner English icon. You left click the area on the icon for the English that you want on the cue ball. Using English on the cue ball will make it set up for your next shot. For instance, if you want the cue ball to come back to the place or close to the place where it sat before you hit it, you would click on the bottom of the English icon.
- 5). Play the game while alternating between players to see who wins. If you or the other player does not hit the respected game ball, the other player will have the "ball in hand" and can set the cue ball anywhere on the table. If this is the result of a scratch, the cue ball will set up behind the line and you can move it by left clicking and holding down the mouse button to place the cue ball where you want it.
