There are lot's of methods to come across awesome Scripture Lesson subjects. You can go on the web and search for Scripture verses about strength or Bible verses about love. You can use the Nave's topical bible which is recommended by Billy Graham and is his accepted topical Bible. You can go to excellent websites like Bible Gateway or Bible Study Tools and use their online programs. There are lot's of awesome methods you can start to search for your next Scripture study subject. Here are some of the ways that I go about searching for an excellent Scripture research topic.
I search for what others are searching for. One of the greatest way not only to be successful but to be a servant to others is find out what others want to learn then find the principles for them. I do this by looking for what others are searching for on the internet.
I search for what others should look for. Several times others are either too busy or too earthly minded to recall that the Bible has principles for lot's of things in life. When I see people battling with a situation, I go and research what the Scripture has to teach about a specific issue and find the principles for them and put it into a Bible research.
Finally you can't do an effectual Bible lesson without prayer. Prayer is talking with Jesus Christ and who better to get an effective Scripture study from than the author of the book? Several times Jesus Christ will give me an idea in my prayer time that turns into one of the more visited Scripture lessons on my website Taber's Truths.
Recently I have been reading two types of Bible verses. Bible verses about faith and inspirational Bible quotes. Tonight it finally dawned upon me. There is a correlation between the two! It was like the light-bulb came on. I might even call it an epiphany. There is a direct tie between someone getting inspiration from Jesus Christ, and that person having faith to move mountains.
Let me explain. In the book of Romans chapter 10 there is an oft quoted Bible verse that says "faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes by the word of God". Now most Christians who read that passage believe that it teaches that we get faith by reading the word of God also understood as the Scripture. However I don't believe that is what the Apostle Paul meant at all. Here is why.
The Bible in the 1st century was only comprised of the Old Testament. The New Testament was being written at that time. In fact, Paul was one of the authors doing the writing.
Copies of the Bible were written by hand. There were no copy machines and they were costly and only placed in synagogues. They were not available to the common person. So if faith came by reading the scripture, the majority of the people would be left out.
There was not what we call public schools in those times. The average person was uneducated. So if reading the Bible was required for faith to come, most people would not be able to have faith.
In conclusion, just let me say that I think the proper interpretation of this quote would be that the term "word of God" did not mean the Scripture, but instead meant Jesus. The Apostle John called Jesus Christ "the word". He was the word made flesh. So faith is received by hearing the still small voice of God, and the ability to hear the voice of God comes from Jesus. So faith comes from inspiration.
As you can see there are many tips to come up with great Bible study ideas. I hope that these couple that I have shared will be a blessing to you way into the future.
