There has been much written about the health benefits of the Acai Berry and all the wonders it possesses.
So far, these claims cannot be dispelled as untrue as so little research, in comparison to other foods we eat has been undertaken.
The research that does exist however, does seem to corroborate to some degree all that has been written about this Berry.
Factually, what do we actually know? The Antioxidants found in the Acai Berry are indeed the highest of any berry so far found around the globe.
Equally, there are high levels of Anthocyanins, Fibre and Omega 3 Fatty Acids.
The levels of Amino Acids are undetermined, but there seems to be little doubt that they do exist, we are just not quite sure of the quantity yet.
Therefore, deducing what we know about the undisputed requirement to supplement our diet with Antioxidants alone, I have absolutely no reservation about recommending The Acai Berry as a premium way to prevent the oxidation process occurring.
The benefits of supplementing our bodies with Antioxidants and Anthocyanins are so far reaching, we have to some degree become almost complacent about ensuring we take these and in the best form nature can offer.
Antioxidants are essential to protecting our immune system and endorse a good metabolic rate.
Clearly a 'win' for all, but especially those whom are looking to lose weight and need to protect their immune system as it's likely to be starved when cutting calories...
no matter how nutritious your meal plans are.
It is a huge bugbear of mine when I hear about people "losing weight" and all they talk about is cutting calories.
OK, you will lose some weight...
but at what cost and ultimately, for how long? Omega Fatty Acids & Fibre Omega 3 Fatty Acids are not produced by the human body, requiring us to supplement these 'Essential Fatty Acids' (EFAs) orally.
Acai Berries seem to hold healthy amounts of Omega 6 & 9, and it is believed that Omega 3 is also found, but only a trace.
Linoleic and Oleic Acids (6&9 respectively), are essential for healthy bone growth and lowering of bad cholesterol.
Finally, fibre, part of the carbohydrate family.
Fibre is essential to your existence, fullstop.
It promotes a healthy intestinal tract, absorbs the nutrients from the lining of your stomach and distributes these nutrients to the cells that will then carry them through your body.
The waste is then systematically disposed of, collecting all the toxins and dead mucus along the way.
Honestly, you cannot live without fibre.
It would be detrimental to your health.
Overall, with all these nutritional elements found in one component, this small Brazilian superfood that is The Acai Berry, how could we not be inclined to eat a fruit with so much to offer?
