In the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King expansion, several new creatures, races, and individual characters that play important roles are introduced.
Many of those races would surely make the game more interesting by virtue that they are new and it's always fun interacting with new creatures or individuals.
One of the races that I'm talking about is the race of the frost dwarves.
A newly discovered race, courtesy of the Explorer's League, the frost dwarves are friendly and peace loving.
The faction of frost dwarves that support the Alliance is known as the Frostborn.
The race lives in the treacherous heights of the Storm Peaks, where their main base of operations, the Frosthold, is found.
Unlike their "cousins", the Iron Dwarves that were discovered in the Grizzly Hills by the Explorer's League, the frost dwarves are not hostile or unwelcoming.
In fact, the race's king, Yorg Stormheart, has decreed that they will support the Alliance in every way possible and that anyone from his people wanting to join the Alliance is welcome.
Below are some important facts about this faction: * The Frostborn can be mistaken for any other dwarf if seen from a distance.
But upon closer inspection, one will see that their skin is tinged in blue, possibly due to the cold weather.
The faces and bodies of these dwarves also have the same markings as those of the Earthen.
If frost dwarves are Earthen who adapted to the cold is still unknown.
* This race of dwarves has special mounts known as Stormcrest Eagles.
Big and resilient, these eagles are capable of carrying the frost dwarves over great distances, and the dwarves can attack while riding them.
This talent is similar to Wildhammer Dwarves and the Gryphons that they use as mounts.
* Iron dwarves and the frost dwarves have a tenuous relationship.
Wars have erupted between the two side, although the reasons are still unknown, but probably territorial.
* The king of the Frostborn, Yorg Stormheart is no other than the legendary and powerful Muradin Bronzebeard who was thought to have been killed by Prince Arthas in the fight for the Frozen Throne.
According to sources, Muradin was merely wounded and suffered from memory loss.
Upon waking up, he readily adapted the name Yorg Stormheart.
This news has fans of the game erupting in cheers, since Muradin was a beloved character.
When you visit the Storm Peaks, make sure to pass by the Frosthold.
The frost dwarves are creatures definitely worth knowing, not only because they are friendly and supportive of the cause of the Alliance, but also because they can probably offer you many things that you don't know of yet since they are a new race.
Check them out!
