- 1). Power on your cell phone and navigate to the main menu. Select the option "Settings."
- 2). Select "General" or "Phone Settings." Select "Security" then enter your phone's lock code or security password.
- 3). Select the option "Reset Phone" or "Reset Default." If you have a BlackBerry, press the "Menu" key and select the option "Wipe Handheld." Enter your phone's lock code again, if prompted.
- 4). Wait for the device to restart. Depending upon the model of your phone, you may need to repeat steps 1 through 2, then select "Restore Phone." This will restore the phone back to its factory defaults.
