- Creep out your children with spiders that they can make on their own and then wear. Allow the children to draw their own handprint and then cut out their fingers to use for the project. Roll the handprints using a pencil so the paper forms a bracelet shape and then let the kids decorate the spider to make it as creepy as they want.
- Spook your neighbors when they drive past and see a large, creepy tarantula sitting in your front yard. To scare them even more, hang the tarantula in a tree near the road using fishing line or clear thread. Fill black garbage bags with leaves and tie them together with electrical tape to make the spider shape. Stretch cotton batting through the trees to create fake webs for the gigantic spider.
- Serve your family and friends or those trick or treating at your door a delicious, yet disgusting treat that makes them wonder how old the food in your house is. Bake apples in a brown sugar sauce until the apples are soft. Serve the apples drenched in the syrup with gummy worms "crawling" out of holes.
- Stick several of these spiders throughout your home to scare people in every room. Make these spiders easily with just pipe cleaners and googly eyes.
