How to Create Great Videos & Leverage the Power of Video Marketing

I am writing this article for two reasons.
First of all I want to provide a guide to video marketing for the new marketer and the one who is struggling with the video creation process.
Secondly I intend to take the complexity out of the process of creating videos for those who are reluctant to create movies because they believe that they are technically challenged.
Generally speaking, what people are looking for when they search for a video online is good content.
If you give them that, then they will keep coming back to check out your videos despite the fact that your lighting may not have been perfect.
So here we go; grab a pen and take some good notes.
When I told you to take notes two pieces of equipment were required.
You needed a pen and a piece of paper.
Creating movies also requires equipment.
You need a camera and good lighting.
The most practical camera on the market today is the Flip.
The HD Ultra Flip camera usually runs around $199.
The easiest way to film with a Flip is to mount it on a tripod.
These are also relatively inexpensive.
When you video outside, the natural lighting is usually perfect.
Indoors, you don't need high-powered, expensive lights.
Simply grab a pole lamp that you can direct to the vicinity of your face and you are ready to go.
I mentioned that the key element of your video is excellent content that addresses topics that people are searching for.
Once you chose your topic use the free Google Keyword tool to find what keywords people are searching for that are related to your topic.
To get search engine attention and attract you're your targeted audience to your video, disperse your keyword phrase throughout your video.
In delivering you content, I do not recommend using a lengthy script that could bog you down and make it sound like you are spouting out a canned message.
Instead use a simple outline that highlights the content you want to cover.
Once that is in place, relax and be yourself as you address each point.
You are now ready to create the video.
Sit in front of the camera and look directly into the lens.
Talk for about 10 of 15 seconds and stop the video.
Run this test clip back to make sure that you are presenting an image that is relaxed as well as professional.
When you are satisfied with your image, then it is time to shoot the video.
Be aware that the first 10-15 seconds of the video are critical in capturing and maintain your audience's attention.
In a dynamic and compelling way clearly state your purpose in creating the video and define the benefit that they will gain when they watch the entire video.
From there relax and deliver the goods! At the end of the video you will want to provide a clear call to action so that there is no doubt in the viewer's mind as to what they will need to do to fully benefit from your video offering.
In the editing process flash the website or phone number that you want them to go to onto the screen.
Instruct them to write it down and to act immediately.
Create a sense of urgency that will compel them to do exactly what you want them to do NOW! Once your video is complete, all that is left to do is edit and upload it to YouTube.
If your computer runs on Microsoft, you can use Windows Movie Maker to edit your video.
Mac users can use iMovie to add the finishing touches to the production process.
The next step is to upload that movie to YouTube.
You can do this directly through the movie editing software.
You have now completed these simplistic steps to create a quality, content rich video.
However your work is not done.
To make a real impact on the web, you must market the video.

From here you can blast your video out to about 15 different sites all over the internet.
The second one will cost you a little bit of money, but will increase your viewing audience to around 40 different sites.

You can also post your video on your blog or website and blast it out to your email list.
You want as many eyes as possible to watch that video in order to maximize the results that you are looking for.
In a nutshell, that is your first lesson in the simplicity of Moving Making 101.
