Here is a great parent resource I came across this week.
It is called F.

A.
S.

~ Families Empowered and Supporting Treatment of Eating Disorders.
At this site you will find: Recipes that are high in calorie and nutrient rich A Treatment Specialist Directory Book reviews and articles An online caregivers forum with such topics as: * meal planning and recipes * distractions during meals, * supporting siblings, * dealing with resistance to eating and recovery, * and much more! I know many of you are looking for support and they currently have a membership of 347 families.
That is a lot of support potential! I have joined myself and have been amazed at the family atmosphere provided here.
So many parents in pain are able to ask questions they don't know who else to ask.
They find answers, support and the experiences of others that give them immediate help and feedback.
There are enough resources their to keep you busy for weeks if not months as you educate yourself so you can help your son or daughter.
We are all in this together, helping families recover from eating disorders.
I know you will be thrilled with this website.
I apologize I cannot put the F.

link directly in this article, but if you cut and paste the second sentence of the article it should get you started.
Check it out and happy browsing! Thank you to the F.

founder Laura Collins and all the time and effort that goes into making this free support site available to parents.
Also to the other moderators who volunteer their time to help those suffering from this horrible illness called eating disorders.
You are an invaluable resource to parents and we are fortunate to have those of you who are so passionate about helping others.
