- 1). Buy the powder and lotion that go with your perfume scent. When you purchase the perfume, make sure and buy the complete set. If one is not offered, make your own.
To make a lotion the same fragrance as your perfume scent, find a lotion that has no smell. Mix several drops of your perfume in with it. Be sure to shake the bottle to thoroughly mix it.
If you need to make a body powder the same as your perfume, just add several drops to talc and mix well. Store it in a tight container or Ziploc bag. - 2). Layer your perfume scent. By layering the fragrance, you get a longer lasting effect. Applying only the perfume in large amounts gets the stronger smell, which is something to avoid.
Once you get out of the shower, put on the lotion of the same scent. Allow it to dry and then lightly add the dusting powder.
Layering the perfume scent helps it to last longer, without such a strong smell. - 3). Apply the perfume. Make sure to put perfume on your pressure points, such as wrist, and behind the lobes of your ears. Add some to your hair and shirt.
Your perfume scent shouldn't need reapplying for the remainder of the day.
