Todd tells Tea and Starr he believes James doesn't know where Dani is. James is smart. He knows what Todd'll do if James lies to him. Viki tells Tea and Todd that Tess is back. And why. Viki asks for Todd's help since he helped Tess hide once before. He refuses, because he has to find his own daughter. After Viki leaves, Tea questions Todd about why he hid Tess knowing she'd locked Natalie and Jerrod in the basement room.
Todd admits that it was because Tess knew he was hiding Marty there. Todd wants to call the police, but Tea stops him. Tea insists that it isn't a missing person’s case. Dani has run away with her boyfriend and they're above the age of consent. Todd suspects that Tea knows where Dani is. He leaves to get his people to find her.
James admits to Starr that he told Dani and Nate about Viki's cabin. Starr refuses to help Dani hide, because of what Todd did when when he finally found Starr and Cole when they ran away. Starr and James argue about what to do about Dani. James is disappointed that Starr would let Todd bully her sister. Starr tells him she's going to do what she has to.
Dani is determined to stay away long enough to make Todd really suffer. Then, when she returns, he'll be so relieved, he'll let her be with Nate. Nate convinces Dani to let Tea know she's okay. Dani tells Tea her plan but not where they are. Then she turns off her phone so they can't track the phone's GPS. Dani tells Nate she's ready to have sex and asks if he's 'prepared'.
Nate nods and pats his pocket. They're sitting by the fireplace, kissing, when someone knocks on the door. It's Starr and James. Starr tells Dani that running away isn't going to convince Todd to accept Nate. But Dani is convinced that Todd will be so afraid to lose Dani all over again that he'll accept Nate. Starr tells Dani that Todd will find them eventually. She's going to stay to do damage control.
Ford finally answers a call from Langston. He tells her he's with Tess. Brody gets on the phone and tells Ford not to believe anything Tess says. That she'll say anything, hurt whoever she has to, to get what she wants. Ford refuses to talk to Brody. He tells Langston that he's doing what he has to for his son. And that he loves her. She says she understands. When Tess thinks Ford is going to tell Langston where they are, she pours a pitcher of water over him and his phone stops working. Ford and Tess argue about what's right for Ryder. Tess pretends that Jessica has come back, and then threatens Ford that she'll put on her 'poor Jessica' act and tell her dad that Ford kidnapped her. Tess doesn't want to be married to Ford any more than he wants to be married to her, but he'll have access to his son and she'll have a husband to make mental health decisions for her. And they'll have the money in the account Clint set up for Ryder. When Tess says she might get a tattoo, Ford warns her that he's not going to let her mess with Jessica's body. They leave to get their marriage license and then go to the chapel.
Brody finds out that Ford bought tickets to Las Vegas. He tells Viki that he's going to bring Jessica back. When he tells Langston where he's going, she insists on going, too.
Blair sees Tomas in the Buenos Dias cafe. Tomas tells Blair he stopped there for the flan, which he heard is the best on the East Coast. And then he's going back to Paris since the gallery owner cancelled. Blair muses that each time they've seen each other, they say goodbye like they'll never see each other again. Tomas asks Blair what's next for her, reminding her that when they met in Paris she was on a journey. Tomas mentions he's from Puerto Rico and Blair tells him about Tea and her other friends the Vegas, who are from Puerto Rico. Tomas seems interested in Tea. He says it's because a woman being friends with her ex-husband's new wife is unusual in America. Blair tells him it took Tea's death to bring them together but that she's alive. Tomas leaves soon after, and appears at Tea's door.
