- Use an old glove to display bracelets and rings. Fill the glove with cotton batting, fabric remnants or any other type of stuffing material you have on hand. Smooth out any bumps to make the glove look more realistic and ensure that you have pushed the batting down through each finger of the glove. Gently fold over the end of the glove and stitch the opening closed. If desired, you can stuff longer gloves, which will give you more arm room on which to display bracelets. Use multiple gloves to displaying jewelry of similar colors or types.
- A tree branch cut from your yard can serve as a unique jewelry display. The color of the wood acts like a neutral, allowing your jewelry to shine. If the wood has knotholes or other signs of unattractive damage, paint it a cream color or neutral color; sand down any sharp edges on the branch before painting. Place the branch on a flat surface and dangle earrings, necklaces and bracelets from its top.
- Display your jewelry pieces on an old corkboard. Remove the frame from the corkboard and cut a piece of fabric so that it covers the board. Spray the cork with a spray adhesive and gently lay the fabric on top. Smooth the fabric down and wrap any overhanging fabric edges around to the back of the board. Use more spray adhesive or staples to secure the fabric to the back of the corkboard. Paint the wood frame and, once it dries, reattach the frame to the corkboard. Push earrings directly into the cork and use pushpins to display other types of jewelry.
- Visit your local craft store and purchase foam blocks, like those used for floral displays and craft projects. Cover the block with fabric, using spray adhesive to secure the fabric to the foam. Push earrings directly into the foam or dangle bracelets and necklaces from vintage earrings or thumbtacks. You can also shape the block into a specific design or shape by cutting into the foam with a sharp knife before attaching the fabric.
