As your toddler's birthday approaches, there are many decisions to be made, with one of the first being where to have the party. Toddlers have a variety of interests as they learn about themselves and the world that surrounds them, so use these interests as ideas for the birthday party. The party does not have to be fancy or expensive. Remember that as a toddler grows, each new experience will be both entertaining and educational. - Bounce places have a variety of different names and styles. They feature inflatable toys that children can bounce around on and play different games, such as obstacle courses, slides and basketball. These bounce place locations typically have birthday party packages that offer the children a specified amount of time to play in the inflatable play area. After that, the party reservation includes time in the party room to enjoy cake as well as foods such as pizza if you choose.
- Bowling is not just for older children and adults. Bowling alleys have created a device that even allows toddlers to take part in the game. It's a ramp that is set up on the lane so toddlers just have to push the ball down the ramp to "roll" it. As an added enhancement to make the game easier, there are bumpers along the gutters the bowling alley can set up to keep the ball from going into the gutter. Along with bowling, foods such as pizza and popcorn can be ordered at the bowling alley, and a cake can be brought in with you.
- Instead of keeping the children indoors, take the toddlers outside to a local zoo for the birthday party. The zoo will allow them to learn about different animals they might have seen on cartoons or heard about from their parents. Make sure to have other parents with you to help, though, as the toddlers may get tired of walking and need to be pushed in a stroller between the different exhibits.
- Rent out space at your local pool by reserving the "kiddie pool" for your birthday party. This will allow the toddlers to play in a pool that is typically only 1 ft deep. The children can play in the water without knowing how to swim. Make sure to bring toys for the toddlers to play with in the pool, such as inflatable balls, toy boats and other floatables. If the pool is outdoors, you might be able to grill hot dogs and hamburgers at the pool, or you can order pizza to be delivered. Once the meal is done, the kids can enjoy cake and ice cream.
