From the Artist: What I had in mind with this imaginary view was to capture an early, misty morning sunrise of a sleeping city. A new dawn of a summer's day.
From the Painting Guide: I like the "complicated" character of the color you've used for the dark tones, which rewards looking with touches of red, green, blue. But I find the foreground leaves me puzzled... is it a view from a park, who would have such a view at the time of day depicted?
Part of me is tempted to crop it off completely, though that of course produces quite a different, more graphic cityscape.
