According to a report from the independent workers' rights organization, on Friday thousands of factory workers at FoxconnEUR(TM)s plant went on strike to fight for their rights and to protest working conditions they have. Most of those are working on the iPhone 5's production lines at Foxconn's plant in Zhengzhou, China. The workers got really furious after the new demands for production of Apple's new iPhone had been announced to them, as a late Friday report from China Labor Watch (CLW), which is a New York-based advocacy group, says.
According to the data received, the strike began at 1 p.m. local time on Friday. And as the CLWEUR(TM)s evidences state the majority of the strikers were workers from the on-site quality control line for the iPhone 5. The strike continued till the late night, and, sure, it caused a work stoppage, paralyzing many production lines. Foxconn as well as Apple both didnEUR(TM)t respond any requests for comments.

An assessment concerning working conditions and some other violations was released by FLA in March of the current year. Dozens of major labor-rights violations, among which are excessive overtime, unpaid wages and salaries that aren't enough to cover basic living expenses were documented in the assessment of FLA.
