- 1). Connect the USB drive to your computer. Open the location of the file that you wish to transfer to the PlayStation 3 console and minimize its screen. Double-click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop.
- 2). Double-click the USB drive on the "My Desktop" screen. The USB drive's content will display. Maximize the screen where the file is located and right click the file. Select "Copy" from the pop-up menu.
- 3). Right-click on the USB drive's content screen and then select "Paste" from the pop-up menu. The file will copy onto the USB drive. Remove the USB drive from the computer.
- 4). Remove any games from the PlayStation 3 disk drive and insert the USB drive into the USB port on the front of the game system. Select "Video" from the main menu and scroll down to locate the USB drive.
- 5). Select the USB drive and press the "Triangle" button on the controller. Press the "Triangle" button to display all of the files on your USB drive. Select the file that you want to transfer to the PlayStation 3 and then press the "Triangle" button on the controller.
- 6). Select "Copy" from the list of options and then press the "X" button. Press the "X" button one more time to confirm the transfer.
