Some Birthday Gift Ideas for Her

    E-book Reader

    • The book addict in your life will fall in love you all over again if you purchase an e-book reader such as Barnes and Noble's Nook, Sony's e-book reader or the Kindle for her. She won't care which brand you purchase as long as it can easily download her favorite books. Earn her undying adoration by adding a $25 gift certificate or prepaid credit card to the gift package so she can begin downloading books from Amazon, My Bookstore and More and Barnes and Noble.

    Cupcakes

    • Help her celebrate her birthday for several months by enrolling her in a Cupcake of the Month Club. Depending on the bakery, the birthday girl will receive a box of cupcakes containing an assorted mix of cupcake flavors on a specific day every month. You will need to purchase a membership for three, six or nine months; the clubs range from $32 to $40 a month.

    Flavored Liquor

    • Be creative by taking the time to infuse vodka with different flavors such as: bubble gum, vanilla bean, pineapple, grapefruit, mint and cherry. It's simple to make, just fill mason jars with the flavor ingredient and pour vodka into the container. Put the lid on and leave it alone for a week, then remove the fruit, candy or flavorant from the vodka. Use a ribbon and tag or sticky label to name the vodka, and you are done. Sometimes just taking the time to make a gift means more than an expensive present.

    Backyard Swing

    • If she is a nature lover, give her a backyard swing to sit on as she watches the animals frolic and gazes at her colorful yard. Be sure to match the swing to the style of her backyard. For example, if she has cedar windmills and bird feeders, get a swing made from cedar, not metal. There are a variety of styles made out of both metal and wood, ranging in price from $100 to $400.

    Wonderous Smells

    • Let her know that she's your hero when you fill a Wonder Woman lunch pail with several aromatherapy gifts. Place scented candles, essential oils, incense sticks, a hand-held massager and homemade bath salts in the pail. Make the bath salts by adding about 10 drops of essential oil to Epsom salts or by adding powdered milk and chamomile oil to Kosher salt. Put the bath salts into containers you can close with corks, and label the jars to finish.
