Five Key Points in Eliminating Stress in a Stressful World

As we enter into the Christmas Holiday season in what should be one of the most joyous occasions and peaceful times of the year full of happiness and contentment, the very sad reality is, that many people around the globe experience more stress and anxiety this time during the Christmas season than during any other time of the year.
My question to you, what is your stress-management plan not for just managing stress during this joyful Christmas season, but for the other 364 days of the year? About me, I have been helping organizations for over 12 years now in helping these organizations in developing smart goals in how to succeed in meeting their fiscal and programmatic goals for their overall business objective.
One of the biggest issues privates organizations and individuals from all walks of life, and all cultures face is dealing with the stress from dealing with and working with people.
The funny thing, is if you remove the human element there would be no stress in our lives.
So unless you're a recluse or living on your own private island devoid of any human civilization, then you probably do not have any stress at all in your life-and you are then the exception.
The fact of the matter is, all people in human society deal with stressful situations daily, whether in your job as part of your long-term career goals in life, or in many of your personal relationships that you hope will one day become successful relationships, coping and dealing with stress is a fact of life.
But...
there are things you can do to mitigate and even remove some of the stress you are experiencing in your own life.
a) Putting Your Trust and Faith in God Above-not on man's limitations As a Christian believer in the Lord Jesus Christ as my personal savior and Lord of my life, I believe that God is stronger than my greatest problem or problems that I am facing in my life.
And...
by putting my complete trust and hope and faith in HIM above, removes the burden of stress from my heart and mind and puts it squarely upon HIS shoulders where it belongs.
You see, stress is carrying a burden that God never intended for anyone of us to carry at all.
Philippians 4:6 states, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
The root cause of stress if the lack of FAITH.
b) Develop the FAITH that only God is able to provide Faith removes stress.
Only by having a relationship with God Himself as a child of God, can you develop the faith that only HE is able to provide you for you life in your character development.
But it begins first with developing a relationship with God.
Christianity is not about another RELIGION, but instead it is about developing a personal RELATIONSHIP with God Almighty Himself.
God hates religion, but what he does want is a relationship with all mankind.
Are you listening? If after all you've tried everything else in life that has ended in failures, you have nothing else to gain including your eternal salvation by giving God a chance.
And if you truly want to know the secret in how to be happy in life, put God first in your life! c) Pray daily for guidance A famous black christian artist MC Hammer from the 1980's hit song "You've got to PRAY just to make it today" is so true.
Everyday we should be praying to God, thanking HIM for what he has already done for us in his provisions but also prayerful about areas in our lives that we have no control over at all.
It doesn't matter if you don't quite know how to meditate to God, God knows your heart.
Luke 16:15 states: And He said to them, "You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.
God knows more than you do about your needs and concerns, call out to HIM with a contrite heart.
d) Develop a Positive Thinking Attitude I have a Masters Degree in Health Education, and I developed many health and wellness workshops and conducted many trainings regarding healthy eating and proper nutritional intake and exercise for developing a healthy body.
And it is quite accepted as medical truth, that you are what you eat.
But it is also true from a mental state of mind, that you also are what you think.
Developing a healthy positive attitude is paramount to your emotional and social well being in life.
Just like a computer (garbage in garbage out), so too your mind, if your fill your mind with filth, trash, unclean, or evil thoughts, then you will be corrupted in your thinking.
Proverbs 23:7 states; "For as a he thinks in his heart, so is he...
" Galatians 6:7 states; Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked.
A man reaps what he sows.
God knows the condition of your heart and you mind-your attitude.
e) Obey God's word and His commandments Listen and obey, doing the right thing is the correct thing to do.
If someone gives you more money back from the cash register, return it, it's not your money anyway.
After all, disobedience will just produce more and more stress in your life.
Proper stress management is developing a correct biblical based approach in dealing with and mitigating stress in your life.
My question to you, will you answer God's calling in your life now by adopting these biblical lessons for your own life, or continue to hampered down with the stress of the world upon your shoulders? Matthew 11:30, states: For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
"
Allow God Himself to carry your burdens and stress in life.
