That Room! Oh! That Room!

You know that room, I think we all have one, it's that room we go into, it looks awful and we just can't decide what to do with it.
It always comes out looking funny or not quite right; it never really matches the rest of the house.
We stand there, stand there some more, and then we walk away thinking, I'll come back to it later.
Now when we do go back and stand there looking at it again we still have no idea what can be done with-it.
Oh! That room.
It makes us crazy, I know how you feel, I thought I wanted it to be an office, but it had a strange shape.
I painted the first time and the color was a bit off because of the lighting, so I put in some brand new furniture and some new lighting; then I stood there, thinking all that time and money and it's still awful.
"What can I do with this room that will not cost an arm and a leg, because I've put so much money into it already" and I hate to paint.
I didn't want to waste another weekend painting that room.
Oh! That room! I am sure you have been there, painting away thinking "I can't wait till this is done" every evening you stop for the day and you feel a sense of accomplishment, but then when the room is finished and dry you put everything back in place and you think to yourself, "I don't really like the color, the color does not match anything, I just wasted money and all that time".
Now you have no choice - it's finished and you are stuck with something that you do not really like.
OMG! Do you still stand in front of the room like I used to do? If the answer is yes, then I have news for you.
I bought "floating-fabric" panels.
What that means is the panel has a track system that the fabric is rolled into.
Therefore it is not GLUED and not permanent.
I purchased the panels and fabric and put them upon the top half of the room.
It only took a couple of hours and with the help of a friend who is a bit taller, had a ladder and a drill that we could use, it went quickly.
The directions were very clear and all the other tools were supplied.
It was fun and I was excited to see it, but the truth is, I didn't like the first fabric that I picked so I went to the fabric store here in town and found a fabric that matched my chair pretty good.
I pulled the first fabric out of the track very easily and then easily rolled the new fabric into the track and now I love that room.
Because it does not make the light reflect off the walls it is pleasing to look at.
Now when I walk into THAT ROOM I am at peace.
I also know that I can change the design of the room very easily at any time; I know that the product is recycled material which makes me feel very good about my choice.
Paint on the other hand has to be disposed of at a chemical waste location.
I did not have to wait for anything to dry and there was no clean up.
One more thing to think about just between you and me, paint fumes.
I had paint fumes in my home for days after painting that room and it was awful.
With these fabric panels there are.
