I live with five dogs.
I am about to make a phone call.
I can hear a fire engine in the distance.
One chihuahua picks up on it and begins to shriek.
Then the second chihuahua follows with shrill piercing sounds.
Poor doggies! They must be suffering from the howling sirens.
Then the third chihuahua chimes in and harmonizes.
They must be scared! Meanwhile the Beagle, starts baying...
a woooooo! ah wooooo! Promptly the Sharpei barks base...
a bump,bump, bump, bump.
Their heads are all thrust in the air.
I can't stop them crying, poor things! High pitched crying sounds are coming from all of them.
They are all gathered on the stairs, sitting at different heights.
Talking on the phone is impossible now.
The siren can still be heard in the distance.
The whole household has turned into a sing-along.
So I decide to howl also, wooooo...
wooooo! Soon the siren fades, and the chorus subsides.
Ah, the concert is over.
I can now make that phone call.
