In my opinion, body-weight exercises provide the best workout for the entire body. After several years experience with lifting weights and body-weight exercises, I can say from experience that body-weight exercises yield much better results in a much shorter length of time, than traditional weight-lifting exercises. But, there is a catch with body weight exercises.
The catch with body weight exercises such as pushups and pull-ups workouts, is that they are much more painful, and long-lasting than traditional weight-lifting workouts, therefore they require much more willpower and endurance. This is where coffee comes into play; Coffee contains caffeine, which stimulates the mind and body, and it also reduces muscle pain. When I am doing a 1000-pushup workout, I usually drink coffee before starting the workout, and during the first half of the workout, and then I switch to drinking water for the second half of the workout to avoid becoming dehydrated. I recommend that you check with your health care professional before incorporating any stimulants such as caffeine into your workout, because it can be very dangerous if you have a heart condition and/or high blood pressure; it can even be dangerous even for healthy individuals.

The pain that you endure during your workout builds character, and after completing a huge pushups workout, you feel a sense of accomplishment and power.
