The World Cup invades the singles chart this week, but it's not enough to keep Nelly Furtado from landing at the top putting her #1 on both sides of the Atlantic but with different songs.
"Promiscuous" has topped the US pop singles chart, but in the UK it's "Maneater" riding the peak. Hint of scandal is likely keeping Sandi Thom near the top, and, despite complaints from many football fans, Embrace's "World at Your Feet," England's official world cup song leads the soccer pack at #3.

This week Paul Simon shows surprising strength for a 64-year-old pop/rock veteran while Ronan Keating's #3 debut can only be seen as disappointing. Keating's greatest hits set sold triple platinum and reached the peak just 2 years ago. Sandi Thom surprises no one by entering the chart at #1 with the avalanche of publicity she has received recently.
