- 1). Mix cream of tartar and table salt in equal parts in a bowl.
- 2). Add enough hot water to make a thick paste.
- 3). Apply the paste to the stain with a clean cloth.
- 4). Allow the paste to sit on the stain for 15 minutes.
- 5). Launder the garment in the hottest water allowable with a scoop of laundry detergent.
