- 1). Cover the place card table with a tablecloth that matches the linens in the dining area. If the tablecloth is not rented, inscribe it with a fabric marker, adding romantic quotes in calligraphic script.
- 2). Sprinkle glitter, confetti, shells, or other small items along the table. Choose an element that matches the rest of your wedding and that coordinates with the theme colors of the wedding, such as red glitter to coordinate with an evening wedding featuring red bridesmaid dresses or delicate pink rose petals for an afternoon garden-themed wedding.
- 3). Place a candle or flower arrangements along the back of the table. These should coordinate with the centerpieces in the dining area but do not need to match exactly. Choose the same theme of colors and predominant blooms, but use a larger spray if the flowers are meant to stand against a wall to fill the empty space on a place card table. If candles are used, ensure that they are covered with glass hurricanes to protect the table and place cards from accidents.
- 4). Create a memorial area by adding pictures on wire picks to a bouquet to pay tribute to family members who passed away but who you wish to have at the wedding in spirit. Write their names on miniature versions of the place cards and attach to the bouquet below the pictures, attached to smaller wire picks.
- 5). Arrange the place cards in alphabetical order, either in a straight line or a circle on the place card table. Accent each with a small bow, button or flower that matches the theme of the wedding. If each small item is different, it will help guests locate their place cards again later in the wedding.
