- 1). Store your fresh pasta in aluminum foil or plastic wrap. After the pasta has been cooked, it can be placed on a plate or in a bowl and wrapped in foil. The aluminum foil should be tightly wrapped around the bowl or plate for complete freshness.
- 2). Allow your cooked pasta to dry for one hour prior to putting it into the refrigerator. The water should be drained from the pasta completely. Empty the pasta from the pot into an airtight plastic or glass container, and seal the lid tightly. Your pasta can also be placed in a freezer bag for preservation. Cooked pasta can be preserved for about three to five days.
- 3). Pour the cooked and dried pasta from the pot or whatever container it's in to a freezer bag. Seal the freezer bag tightly and write the date on it, so you will know how long the pasta has been in there. Pasta can be stored in a freezer for up to two weeks.
