- 1). Pour 1 cup of vinegar or lemon juice into a large bowl.
- 2). Set the bowl onto the dishwasher's bottom shelf. Position the bowl upright between the dish-holding spokes. Keep all other dishes out of the dishwasher.
- 3). Turn the dishwasher on, and put it through a wash cycle and a rinse cycle. Do not allow the dishwasher to enter the drying cycle.
- 4). Open the dishwasher, and wipe away the calcium deposits with a clean towel. Most of the deposits should have dissolved while the dishwasher was running.
