- 1). Open WordPerfect. Select "File" from the menu and choose "Open." In the dialog that appears, browse to the location of a file you have previously created that you want to add a header to and open it.
- 2). Select "Insert" from the menu and choose "Header/Footer." In the dialog that appears, choose "Header A." Then click "Create."
- 3). Click inside the header. Choose the font style and size that you want for the head and type in the overall title for your document. Then click "Center." Choose "Odd" page placement.
- 4). Repeat steps 2 and 3 to create a "Header B" if you need one, except that you will set it to "Even" pages. This one can serve as a chapter or section header. Save your work.
