Natural Approach to Dental Problems

There are almost 50 percent of people above the age of 13 who are currently suffering from gum problems.
All of which is because of severe lack of oral hygiene in the first place.
Although we do brush our teeth twice a day, brushing alone is not enough to get the job done.
Here are ways for you to do oral hygiene in a a more natural way.
Brush your teeth twice a day after every meal but sometimes it is not enough.
You need to floss your teeth as well to avoid having stuck up food particles that later form into plaques that will ruin your teeth.
Once you are done brushing and flossing your teeth, you can then massage it to increase blood flow to the gums and supply it with good levels of oxygen and nutrients.
You can bite down gently or massage your gums in a slow circular manner.
Try a more natural approach with your mouthwash.
Use baking soda mixed with water as your mouthwash or mix equal parts of hydrogen peroxide with equal parts of water and rinse your mouth with it.
It is a much safer approach rather than rinsing your mouth with alcohol-ladden mouthwashes.
Fruits and vegetables also play a great role in the overall health of your teeth and gums.
Fruits and vegetables supply your body with enough nutrients to keep it healthy.
So be sure to chew on those leafy vegetables.
Chewing your food slowly and surely is another way of keeping your gums healthy.
The more you chew your food, the more it will be easier for you to swallow and better for your body to digest.
This way you will not have to deal with different digestive ailments.
Green tea has antioxidants and have health benefits that cater to the oral cavity.
It also has an antibacterial effect that cleanse the mouth from bacteria making it a lot safer to eat and chew food.
The first thing you should do to help keep your gums from utter destruction is to quit smoking.
As we all know, smoking inhibits the blood flow to different parts of the body including the gums which causes your gums to look dull and dark.
