- 1). Organize your collection. Go through all of your baseball cards and sort them either by brand and year or by player to see what you have and what you need. Also sort out any duplicate cards you find in your collection.
- 2). Find some fellow collectors to trade with. This is a great way to get baseball cards you want for free. Trade away your duplicates for cards you do not have a copy of yet. If your friends don't have the cards you want, try to trade with dealers at baseball card shops and baseball card shows.
- 3). Purchase the baseball cards individually. Other than trading, this is usually the cheapest way to find an individual baseball card. However, if the cards you want are rare, it might take awhile to find them sold individually. This method also might not be as much fun as other more creative methods.
- 4). Find baseball cards in packs. Buying cards by the packs is a fun way to find cards because you never know what will be in the pack. If you need a number of cards from one brand and year, purchasing packs can also be cheaper than buying all the cards you want individually.
- 5). Buy complete sets. If you're short on time, buying a compete set is a quick and easy way to instantly find all the baseball cards made by a manufacture in a year.
